FOR TRAINING IN TECHNIQUES OF CEMENT GROUTING
IN ROCK FOUNDATIONS

This simulation lets you pretend that you are grouting a hole. You can fiddle with the various possibilities in a "hands-on" manner and find out what they would probably produce in a real hole.

A CAUTION! - Please note carefully that there is much art in grouting. Even though this simulation is based on best practice, it is intended primarily for guidance when training. On actual jobs the guidance must be augmented by intelligent adaption.

There are occasional references to the "Guide". This is the book CONSTRUCTION AND DESIGN OF CEMENT GROUTING, by by A.C.Houlsby.

Situations change as the simulation proceeds. Warnings will be encountered if you do unwise things; the aim is to avoid them and get to the end of the grout application without transgressing them.

The simulation does not explain the technical terms used - it is presumed that you will refer to the Guide or to other programmes at this Web site for any which are not understood.
